Jokes in English language training

I read on some site that a teacher used them in the first day of the class to break the ice.
He gave an example of how he would do that. Here is the joke:
There is a family of mice having dinner when suddenly a cat jumps up to the attic and snares her teeth.
The father mouse jumps off his chair and say "Wuff wuff".
The cat, scared, runs away. The young mixe, in amazement over what just happened, ask their father, "What was that, Dad?"
The father mouse replies, sipping his milk, "That my children is one of the benefits of learning a second language"
I don't use a lot of jokes, but when the class have a vote, I say:
Who thinks yes? (hands up)
Who thinks no? (hands up)
Who doesn't think?
It usually gets a laugh
Hi. actually i have heard that joke before and to be honest I have downloaded lots of english jokes from Voa. of course some of them are not so funny but once in a while I try to describe one of them to class specially after teaching grammar that some times makes student bored. I thing there are good for student's listennig and also they can learn new word.
